Artist Statement
My first semester of art was interesting yet challenging. I learned a lot throughout the semester and improved on both my strengths and weaknesses. My strengths were creating a plan or an image of what I want my art to look like and following through with it and my weaknesses were staying on pace and craftsmanship although it improved throughout the semester. What inspires me is doing art about things I enjoy. Art was a lot easier this year than it could've been because of the freedom I was given on what to make my projects about which made it more enjoyable. With more practice and more projects I can improve my craftsmanship. My most memorable moments came with Kenny redoing our planets like 3 different times. In the end I learned a lot and enjoyed my time in art.
Intro to 3D art
Wild thingMy mask project was interesting and unique compared to other projects I have done. I decided to do a baseball themed mask so that it could be hung in the dugout during the season. I decided to add a handle from a baseball bat to give it more of a baseball feel. I used a vibrant orange color to make it pop more as well. In the end it was a fun project I enjoyed making.

My DoorThe door project was made to show our interests and passions. My door project has different ways of expressing my likes and hobbies. There is a tree that represents my passion for the outdoors and some of my favorite activities like camping. The door knob is a baseball because that is my favorite sport and something I love. The window on the door is in the shape of a diamond because diamonds represent success and money so it shows my desire to be successful and the window is there to show that once I know who you truly are, I normally welcome people. The luggage shows my love to travel and see the world. Once it is painted, the house will be bright yellow which will represent my positivity and my optimistic attitude. Overall, I liked how my project has turned out so far and am excited to see what it will look like finished.
